Sally Knocker
PgDip Dramatherapy, BA Law and Society

for dementia Associate Trainer

Sally KnockerI have over twenty years experience of working with people with dementia and with their families, both in social services and the voluntary sector. This includes six years with the Alzheimer’s Society and seven years with NAPA, the National Association for Providers of Activities for Older People. I have always loved working with older people, and find that this passion is contagious when I am communicating with others!

I am a tutor, trainer and assessor with ‘for dementia training’ on their six months’ Certificate Programme, accredited by the Open College Network.

Currently part-time Director of Communications at NAPA and a freelance drama practitioner with Magic Me, an intergenerational arts charity, I am committed to combining my writing and training practice with direct work with older people.

I am keen for family carers to contribute on many of my training days and I also try to ensure that the voice and experience of people with dementia is included.
